Privacy Policy

Data read from LinkedIn pages

The extension only activates on LinkedIn profile pages (URLs like linkedin.com/in/...). It reads certain information visible on the page you're viewing (name, job title, "About" summary, recent experience) to generate a personalized message. This happens locally in your browser the moment you click "Generate": InProspector doesn't crawl LinkedIn in the background and never looks at a page you haven't opened yourself.

What gets sent to our servers

To generate the message, the information extracted from the page is sent to our server relay (hosted on Cloudflare Workers), which forwards it to the OpenAI API for text generation. This information (name, title, summary, experience) is not stored long-term on our servers: it's only used to produce the reply, then discarded.

Anonymous samples to improve quality

When you click "Copy" or "Regenerate another message", we keep the text of the generated message (with the recipient's first name and their company name replaced by generic placeholders before anything is sent, never transmitted in the clear), along with the tone, purpose, language, and angle used. No account data is attached: this sample isn't linked to your email. It's only used to understand what works, to improve the quality of generated messages.

Account and quota

Sign-in happens through your Google account (only your email address, to identify your account and track your monthly message quota). We never ask for or store your Google password. We keep: your email, your plan (free or paid), and a counter of messages generated in the current month or billing period. We also separately keep your country and approximate city (derived technically, never via GPS location) to understand where usage comes from.

Payment

Paid subscriptions are handled entirely by Stripe. We never receive or store your card details: Stripe only sends us the subscription confirmation and its status.

What we never do

Your rights

Under GDPR, you have the right to access, correct, delete, and port your data, as well as the right to object to its processing. You can exercise these rights, or ask us to delete your account and associated data, at any time by writing to the address below. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
